Characters:
Put in one word, stereotypical. But who cares anyways. A lot of things in this world are stereotypical.
Well, except maybe the male protagonist, but that's for later...
Komari: Tsundere (?); the most normal of the bunch, slaps Riku with a harisen
Yukine: No brain, all brawn; carries around a gun (in other words, shoots Riku with it)
Aoi: Quiet type; slightly off in the head... A bit obsessed with black magic... casts curses (not like it works... I think.)
Koyomi: Airhead type; loli type; glares at Riku (least harmful?)
Miu: Older sister type; OK with both genders (-_-; ); her story takes place in the first chapter, so no more must be said
And the protagonist, who I really wonder why he hasn't been arrested yet.
Riku: He's okay when he's serious, but that goes for many protagonists. He has this complex where he believes he's like a bringer of bad luck and misfortune and doesn't want to be around other people stemming from past events where he brought misfortune to others... But the game would be gloomy with such a depressed main character right? Unfortunately, this guy is so freakin' "my-pace" and he doesn't really get too depressed over it. It only takes over in the "dramatic" scenes.
He's also a huge pervert with some twisted pee fetish... And he's VERY open about it to the heroines... I wonder how many times he asked them to... not saying too much there, but let's just say he would be fine with listening to it or drinking it...
He also tends to set up cameras in the girl's bathroom and owns lots of porn videos; This guy is open enough that he could bring out a porn video in public (though at night with no one around at that time) and gladly show it to the heroine... only to have it confiscated.
If Nozomu from "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei" always uses "despair", this guy always "sobs" (Musebinaku).
But he's a pushover for those violent maids of his... They start to threaten him, and he gives up right away.
Oh, and I almost forgot his appearance... He's a 28-year-old that looks like a yound teenager...
Oh, and he can talk to animals...

Drama:
To be honest, it isn't all that great because besides for the main character, it's nearly impossible to relate to the heroines.
Because it pretty much all involves maids.
And I will NEVER become a maid. But there's very little drama anyways...
And apparently, there are departments/classes of maids that focus on different things, but who cares.

Story progression:
Very simple (this is why I said this game doesn't even have a route for characters).
Besides for the main story, in each chapter, you can freely move (in a point-and-go way) to talk to the heroines. Obviously, the game limits the choices/movement to a certain number of times.
The first several chapters each focus on one heroine (kind of resembles an actual anime in format), one chapter that has them all (AKA Choose heroines to talk to and enjoy the H-scene that follows), and after this one, you choose a heroine close to you (there's a screen that gauges their attraction/thoughts towards you) and the last chapter will focus on them and give you their end. In other words, after finishing the game once, the only new things will be in the last chapter.

Comedy:
What rules this game and makes it worth playing (?).
There are obviously gags that are repeated, but I managed to get through without really getting bored.
Some examples of comedy-
-Beating Taito (from Jyushin Enbu) in repeating words.
-Heroines attacking the text box when Riku says something unpleasant to them. Example: Shooting and creating a hole in the box, smacking words out of a sentence.
-Speech text changes in way written. For instance, Riku mights suddenly talk in katakana or in romanization.
-The most prominent: Fighting over Riku... It gets kind of scary. They're all so violent towards each other. And the language gets extremely crude, to the point where it gets censored sometimes.

CG:
*thumbs-up*

H-scene:
5 girls, 1 man.
Make up any combination you like and it's probably there (not necessarily, but you get the idea).
There's also Harem, and some H-scenes don't necessarily require the guy...
