The audio drama heavily implies she is an android though. After Yukirin just convinced the no name girls of the contrary ans they go out of the room, she asks Mayuyu if it's okay if she don't tell them about her true self. Then Mayuyu makes a few comments: "I was born to become Mayuyu and then succeed that name", "I will never forget the day I felt the soul of the original Mayuyu". The first quote does imply she was constructed (android) rather than modified (cyborg). Although even if a cyborg, the second quote wouldn't make sense if she was the original herself.
