Still Jesus had mortal flesh is the common belief. All ideas of him being either purely divine or purely mortal were weeded out in the Council of Nicea. This makes it possible, and not sacrilege to put a human face, race, and ethnicity on Jesus in nearly all modern forms of Christianity..... but that is waaaaaaaay off topic.
