Got him out of the Experiment for one, something he's at least a little thankful for.
He might be angry, annoyed etc. over the humilition, but hate is a bit strong.
He is definitly envious of Touma, as shown in Vol. 20, but this is after a couple of Months.
I think at this point, the anger is balanced with the envy, but yeah, this can't be more than 2 weeks after the experiment, and he is still feeling bitter over the loss of status.
