The Jet fighter is established as able to fight any I.S. in existence, yet curbstomped anyway, along with the base it resides. Tabane wanted it to be destroyed, and everyone in the base to be killed. (which actually very OOC for her, seeing as she singlehandedly destroy rival lab without any single life lost in canon).
So we have this awesome jet fighter, who destroyed before getting into action so we can introduce this cool male O.C., who is Tabane's bodyguard, who steamrolled military base without any repercussion whatsoever.
