Also, as per the self insert, I'd probably keep a weapon handy for defense, but not go up the front lines. If for some reason It did decide to engage in any major combat i.e. become a clearer, unless that have crossbows or something, I'd probably use the longest spear possible and/or camp out in the back and pelt the enemy with throwing knives.
