Truly understand your point of view, but...

If you're going into an arc expecting something that wasn't even done in 2k2 knowing the 2k2 outcome and past 2k6 events, then I think that a gentle reminder is in order to possibly prevent what happened in the ep. 10 thread.
It could be pretty sad to see someone place their hopes in the second arc of a 5 arc series with approximately 12 episodes to go and see it get dashed to the ground.

Kyo-Ani has to complete 4 arcs now in 12 episodes.

I also secretly root for Shiori, in addition to Ayu. Other character types, quiet smart females, that I root for never seem to win either.
