Something tells me that Ishihara had a lot to do with the style changes. At risk for getting in trouble with the manga ban, he wrote something like Uwakoi. I mean this type of story is still pretty risqué in its own merit, but the way he just keeps piling on more and more shit for the protagonist to deal with, and the way that he just keeps on getting abused by all sides of the equation, I don't know, maybe it seems stretched out?
