I think If she(Chifuyu) died then the series may go dark a bit. Even more if Tabane had a hand in it or was responsible.
For one Houki would never forgive her sister and would truly hate her for not killing someone close to her and taking the life of the only relative of the boy she loves ever knew or had.
And there is Ichika .I dont want to about his state of mind.
Houki and Ichika's relationship would be strained.
One things for sure they would never be the same between the 2.
