- Subject : Shiki (from Tsukihime)
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : After completing Tsukihime (thanks to Mirrormoon crew for their awesome english patch) and playing quite a lot in Melty Blood, i was really enjoying Shiki's COOL mode.
I attempted to create a gruesome feeling around the blood and red, while the impact isn't "psychotic" or flat "gore" like i did on others signatures of the same genre.
I'm kinda satisfied, while i think i kinda failed to give the impression of some impending death ~~ (the knife isn't enough, and the blood si'nt really noticeable, i'm aware x_X.)
anyway, note that the "Blue Blue Glass Moon, Under The Crimson Air" is the "official format" of the sub title of Tsukihime, with the font with the most matchable font i could find ~~
also, note that the kanjis are kinda spoilerish, so avoid romajizing them

- Subject : Makoto (from Kanon 2006)
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : While i had hard time for Mai, Makoto's signature was way easier to do, since i had that picture in my mind since the end of her arc.
about that picture, i was pummeling my eyes and mind for this : 14 layers... and i had to watch the minor brightness weirdness all the time
also, i wanted to make that signature with that picture alone with the name, but i guess it was too empty, so i added the well known bride picture
i'm just afraid of the weird merging between the left "spring" side and the right "sunset" side. Unfortunately, the result is unsurprisingly poor due the fact I've used screencaps, thus the subpar quality.

Spoiler:
Comments : Third "poem" signature.
got really hard time to find how to depict the duality here... until i had the idea of a simple black and white scheme.
i think it does suit correctly the twins, but i don't think the pictures were really fine but meh...
again, the text is based on the last paragraph of Watanagashi-hen Game Poem

- Subject : Mai (from Kanon 2006)
- Status : Reserved
Spoiler:
Comments : here goes something more serious.
basically, i begun this sig with the least inspiration i ever had for the 16 signatures...
in fact, i only had the idea of the sword and the plausible name location, which is indeed pretty poor.
anyway, Since our swordsmaiden trademark color is Blue, i tried to use different tones of blues, while they are stricly different (just like the amount of purple in rena's sig)
also, some headach popped with the link between the center and the right, but meh i chosed to put some "lash" input, increasing some "cold" attitude, not really that great but...
i'm pretty satisfied with this sig, though i'm wondering if i can change slightly the left, and the gap between the left and the center.
flame me if you want, but i feel finally some "pride" with this sig... not really often, since only the poem rena sig made me feel the same... messed ego, i tell ya
side note : "魔物を討つ者" means "mamono o utsu mono"... guess its translation (hint : episode 5)

- Subject : Mayumi (from Shuffle!)
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : The awesome Itsuki + Mayumi pair was completely gold in Really? Really!
thus, I thought Mayumi should have some cookie, especially she is the most underated girl in Shuffle universe IMO ~~
therefor, i tried a sig, but this time, some "fun" factor instead of my usual "beauty/violent-dark-gore" type.
and seriously, it wasn't easy... The bg was terribly annoying to find, so this is probably the first time that i tried the reversed way : the contents before the BG, and it wasn't really that great.
meh... i guess something casual won't really hurt mayumi (do you see her with feathers, stars and hearts? hell no )

- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : Almost like 1 month without a sig...
Ok, still haunted by my higurashi madness, i could only end up with finally some "happy" sig, though i was kinda screwed for the idea : who will be lucky enough for this one?
well... guess it is better if the full gang is there neh
Cats' previous signatures were big inspiration with their contents : pictures looking like photographs.
First time, and i tried hard to avoid the hellish jagged edges X_X
meh... that signature wasn't really something big in effects (obviously), but it is slightly trickier to get every photographs around, with balance (especially the size... geh...).
Everything are based on the mood, and it wasn't easy to find the according pictures, without getting screwed with the different designs
Right text : Arigato
*sigh* still, i should find a way to improve my "skills" : it isn't really spectacular...(yet, hoping it is soothing... or not?)

Spoiler:
Comments : tried something different, but it ended with something a bit classic... especially with my duality habit
Red signature, as opposed with my current Blue Mai... still, overwhelmed by the cutie and hottie Yureka
I had hard time finding a way to create something... MMO-like...
looks like i didn't really succeed meh...

- Subject : Matsuri (from sola)
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : something... well simple.
due the overwhelming aesthetic tendency of the series, i didn't try something sophisticated, but rather on the only expression of matsuri with the BG.
the major challenge here was the original source of the picture, which was utterly blue, which was a radical opposition of any sunny sky ~~
The hair treatment was also something peculiar, since it would be moronic to not accord the contrast and brightness with the actual "sunny" sky
nothing absurdly blur here, i'm relieved

- Subject : Yorito (from sola)
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : Well then, sounds like i'm gonna do a "sola signatures" set
Male signatures aren't really something i do often, and i have a big explanation behind this now : the amount of material around the guys is absurdly low.
For only 1 picture of yorito, you have at least 5 or 6 for matsuri
As for the signature, i wanted to do a dusk scenery, since it was the best thing which would fit "passion". (the colors, the amount of time required to track down a good sunset, the mood etc)
And, sadly, there was only 1 picture of yorito, fitting the description... and it was indeed the same when he was rushing to the sunset in ep 1
as you can see with the original picture, the main challenge was the solar rays, which were a big trouble to blend (and the reddish orange BG wasn't really easy to fit with the used sig BG ~~)
the contrast between the far left and the right side is bothering me a bit but... well ~~

- Subject : Aono (from sola)
- Status : Available[/COLOR]
Spoiler:
Comments : Third signature of the "Words of Sky" set.
Aono is most likely a big mystery, and sometimes beats hand down matsuri for this matter
thus, it wasn't easy to find a scenery, which wouldn't alienate her character, nor being completely out of character.
i decided to pick the midnight scenery, though it wasn't a walk to the parc to find the proper "word".
The picture itself wasn't really hard to use. in fact, i just had to cut and add some filter and hue (which is the complete opposite of the matsuri pic, which turned my braininto mush )
Don't worry, i tried to not be lazy here : i worked a bit on a dim and smooth ray of light "from the moon to Aono". it is barely noticeable, yeah (this is better like this i think, otherwise, it would be an erratic contrast)

- Subject : Koyori and Mana (from sola)
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : Fourth and final "Words of Sky" signatures.
The concept was a bit tricky considering 3 factors :
-Scenery : the Dawn was the last "period" i could use
-Word : something which can link both ishizuki sisters, the BG AND the 3 others words
-Picture : 1 picture of each of them (or only one ) which can match together and the above criteria
thus... fun time, and could only take the same picture I used for Matsuri signature.
meh... i think the 2 cycles (words and scenery) are complete without too much flaws
for the signature itself, the amount of layers was a bit big, considering the number of different orange, purp and blue tones i have to use (lots of brushes, filters, despite a base dawn picture)
Koyori and Mana blending is somewhat similar to matsuri, but with, of course, different settings, due the complete different contrast.

- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : Well, back to the good ol' days...
remember when i cursed about chrono, and the impossible challenge to find a decent picture of him? well this is the same here : not enough official material, fanbase going nuts with NxF as usual.
Thus, screencaps of the opening.
so yeah, the edge is a bit jagged (and even some pink ~~), and the quality isn't really great meh...
the BG wasn't easy, and i could only put a dull unicolor BG, with belka sigil, and some random "tech" elements.
i think the blue-purple suits subaru, though, i wasn't able to pull her "energetic" attribute :x
i hope i can make a better result with the 3 other rookies ~~

- Request for Jubei_Asaemon
Spoiler:
Comments : After finishing Shiki (Tsukihime), i wanted to do Akiha, Hisui and Kohaku. unfortunately, my inspiration just get dry instantly, so i couldn't think about it.
thus, that request is the perfect chance to at least, give some justice for the official tsukihime tsundere
I wasn't really thrilled by the 3 pictures provided (they weren't bad, but they were more like fitting a crop job. they were pretty much stand alone for me). thus, with some research, i got that one
obviously : lots of fun time with the blending and the contrast.
Sincer her hair are really a big factor here, i took special care about it : 5 layers for itself, and lots of blending and various filters.
i tried to use the maples leaves as an extension for her hair flow (with again some wind/cloud red brush around)
not really that eye candy, i pretty bet everything on the mood

- Subject : Archer (Female Version, AKA Archer-ko) (from Sword Dancers (doujin based on F/SN))
- Request for Senigata
Spoiler:
Comments : Another Request, and another TYPE-MOON thing... sounds like this is growing on me
well, another red signature, but really different from the rest. here, i tried to get some deceiving aspect of the petals, which can mislead to blood, but unfortunately, the experimental effect looks also a bit rough, and can be considered as bad quality...
source pictures :
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...6410466356.jpg
http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a2...6683573719.jpg
this is really a shame there isn't a lot of picture about this... the second pic was utterly hacked by that "sword dancer" thing... thus a substitute transplant was required, but the blending and the aspect on the hand weren't really that great i gues ~~

- Subject : Yuiko (from Little Busters!)
- Status : Reserved
Spoiler:
Comments : geeh... 2 weeks later... my brain was only dedicated for exams, and trust me, this isn't really a trial i like to get through.
anyway, things were a bit desesperate this time : didn't have any idea or inspiration of which subject i should try this time (i got some nanoha overload recently)
while roaming on the forum as usual, the LB! thread catches my attention, and while reading it, i found a gorgeous picture (at least, to me *cough*) there
i cursed a bit that the quality was near to beyond salvation.
nevertherless, couldn't really get my attention from this pic (she reminds me too much of Mai, and her description is quite striking, despite the obvious different personality) : expression and pose are really a win for me.
so, i was a bit playing with the contrast and especially a mass of layers to counterbalance the quality, while keeping or even improving the radiance.
i'm just concerned that it pretty much looks like a crop job -___-"

- Subject : Sione (from Primitive Link (Eroge))
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : without any internet, i was extremely annoyed and bored. fortunately, i had the good idea to save the picture i wanted to work on some time earlier.
as you can see, another swordmaiden *drools*
first, as usual, radical change on the contrast and colors.
after that, got some hard time to shrink it with a satisfying size and ratio.
unlike Yuiko signature, the quality is really neat, but it was also a problem, since the change done on it didn't really get well on some aspect. (namely, some weird result with her armor)
i tried to keep, and enhance the "polish" aspect of the armor, with a smooth and slightly dull brightness, which would fit the artic wind.

- Subject : Miharu (from Girls Bravo)
- Request for Denkikoiji
Spoiler:
Comments : Fourth request, and the subject wasn't really something i'm used to. Miharu, from Girls bravo.
due my complete cluelessness, i was rather analyzing the pictures and pick the one which would have the best result.
ended with this one
but since it would be a bit too easy, i prefer to set the whole scenery on a sunset, thus, i had to rework completely on the colors and contrast.
i fear i put a bit too much of orange and brightness, but meh... hope it isn't too burning >_<
the type of filters is similar to Ishizuki Sisters signature, though with complete different setups and of course, another type of BG

- Subject : Signum (from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical A's)
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : unlike Caro's sig, Signum signature color is much more bearable, since it tend to be between lavender, pink and purple.
the BG was a bit hard to define, considering her style.
i tried some raw lightning, with some attempt of "flames" around her at the right. (the flaring white, and the aura)
meh, i changed the whole structure, considering that her level is quite higher than the trainees. OTOH, the flow of the sig seem a bit less effective than before : it looks a bit like 3 parts stitched together ~~
edit : Structure completely redone, much a mix between A's sig and strikers sig. i guess it is much more consistant like this.
the Panzer Geist has been improved, with various color tones added around (especially for Laevatein).

Comments : Well... thanks to CrowKenobi's post, i got pretty much hooked by Kifune Mio, from ExE (which has been presented by Cloudnine in the eroge thread).
I felt like the night and the moon could fit her, but unlike Yuiko sig, it would be much more aggressive.
Thus, the tones were set differently, and some "rays" have been put (most of them are merged), with soft light adjustement. not too sure if it was able to mimic some soft enlightment from the moon, meh.
i tried to give some impression of imbued power, with the aura, and extensive light on the saber.
ho well... third "Singing Swordmaiden" sig, not really that bad... guess i'm really easely inspired by this peculiar subject

- Themes : Sky
- Special mention : Works for the Sky Banners Contest 2007
- Strictly for Animesuki Forums
Spoiler:
Comments : Time for the second contest!
Well, much less tricky for the effects, but the structure and renders are much more peculiar than winter. i merely try to get the best feeling with the chosen subjects
I must say that considering the subject of the contest, I was kinda on my field... (no i'm not referring to the sola set ), since it doesn't require anything eye candy, or special in its content. (i'm still too old school i guess...)
The first banner was rather quick : Rika gave me many tranquility vibes, and i tried to give her some "dream" aspect, along with a very discrete "angel" aspect on the clouds. however, i guess the clouds here looks too much like... smoke ~~
Second banner took all my attention, since Rena is argueably my favourite character. Thus, i wanted to exploit at the maximum her expressions of happiness and freedom. Then, i got the idea to use some birds formation, strengthening her interaction with the sky. then the same touch on the title.
Thid banner was the "eye candy" one : i loved how seductive, yet innocent elis was on that render, so i tried some "bed of clouds" and "sheet of clouds" around.
Overall, i was quite satisfied with what i could pull out

- Subject : Tamami (from Moshimo Ashita ga Hare naraba (Eroge))
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : After some ventures on random boards, i found this lovely picture
Since I wasn't on the banner stress anymore, i guessed it was time to do another signature.
This time i got hard time to extract the pic, considering the right part really flaring on the outlines/edges.
Once the position was done, the main dish was to "craft" the left cloth part, so it wouldn't look cropped. I spent 1 hour on this, transplanting a cloth part, and using smudge, brush, and others things to make it look natural. i hope it does.
I tried something dreamy but also mysterious, so i cropped her head on purpose, leaving an eye. it also gives me the opportunity to leave a bigger render, so more eye candy for her figure ^___^

- Subject : Suigintou (from Rozen Maiden)
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : Well, not really "original", but since Suigintou is my favourite character in RM, i guess i should try something else (though it is a bit too close of the usual "Swordmaiden" subject
I wasn't really able to pull something like "gothic" background or the like, so i prefered some usual night scenery, with the usual "window" thing.
I also tried to give a specific importance on the Rosa Mystica she was holding on the render. Overall, i like how she is blended with the scenery, especially the wings. (once again, i had to transplant otherwise, it was straight cut ~~)

Spoiler:
Comments : Long time i wanted to try a signature on Yumemi, but the lack of "good" picture on her is really an eyesore, especially the fact her hair is often cut straight by the pictures size...
That said, i had to create something specific for her usual "space" theme, but since i'm clearly not satisfied with dumb "starry" sky, i tried to create a nebula environment.
The base BG is this
So yeah, spending 4 hours on the whole signature, considering 2-3 because of the insane work on the nebula... not exactly my cup of tea, oh well...

Spoiler:
Comments : not exactly the sixth request. Basically, Sukai-kun wanted a signature matching hiw new avatar, and I went on some voluntary work without his opinion
Of course, the first result wasn't exactly great, as I only know about the subject, Ryou, and the size (400*120).
I ended with this.
Since he prefers dark themed things, i had to completely shift the appearance without touching much on the mood.
Not especially easy, considering the original signature is like 3/4 white...
That said, i wanted to change something and not using the usual "starry" thing, which is hardly a staple move for "night-ish" impression.
Thus, on this one, I worked a lot on the shades, the light "bulbs", and the various tones of purp and blue.
I liked the curved line, but he asked me to remove it so, that's it

Then suddenly, Deathy wanted to do it hard, and so we finally stop slacking off
He found that lovely picture (with a somewhat... very NSFW bottom... not +18 but quite bold...")
Things were quite rushed, as we had tons of problems while doing this... I suggest you to refer to my "quest diary" post i did over there

Considering how the second Yuiko signature left me not completely satisfied, I wanted to try something else wich has some "grace" aura, impression such like Mai or Yuiko 1 signature.
And... i found it with that quite gorgeous picture
The challenge here was... not only the ratio, but removing the bra straps, to give more appeal. That is to say, I had fun time in reconstructing and prolonging the skin and the scar to make everything alright.
At first, it was kinda a crop, despite I actually cut the render, and changed the lights and changed the left part. As result, i wanted something overwhelming, and I thought of literal streams of light, which are kinda like waterfall.
The effects are kinda similar to the windy aria signature, but it merged well I believe, especially the fun time with the hair.

Spoiler:
Comments : It has been more than 4 months without any sig from me... that was terrible considering the sheer amount of circumstances (Exams, Family trip, Umineko patch, inspiration shortage).
Well, I really wanted to do something about Umineko, but I had hard time to select a proper picture for Bernkastel. That said, I first started with the Planar BG which wasn't exactly a cake walk considering I wanted to give keep the "concept" of the original series: some unknown realm, the flow of time etc. Blue lover as I am, I tried several tones along with some purple here and there.
Then, I think everything went fine with Bernkastel blending, I was quite happy I could insert her without disrupting the mood, as if she was "emerging" or "fading in/out" of the said planar realm.
Cuteness and blue!

- Subject : Lambdadelta (from Umineko no Naku Koro ni)
- Status : Available
Spoiler:
Comments : Barely 2 days after my "revival" and... another one, loli to boot .
Lambdadelta signature was a little more challenging (wait.. was there any signature I had it easy to make to begin with? ), as:
1) without joke, there are really less than a "handful" amount of proper fan arts of her
2) too.much.of.pink.
Here, I had to be a bit "random" for the BG, as I wanted the planar realm to be a bit "chaotic" and vastly more noticeable. Speaking of that, I wanted really to make it "presence", something "outstanding" without being flashy, considering Lambda's behaviour. Hence the little glow and the different blending mode here.
Not really confident about this sig compared to bern's, but well... it is better than I expected.
Next but not the least: Beatrice... guaaah...

Spoiler:
Comments : Time is running while I'm basically uninspired and completely busy left and right. Anyway I decided to take up another request which was filed... back from May
As you might see with the original picture, it is quite different from the themes I'm doing, and I know that I'm not so good in composition that leave a nice "alluring" mood.
Anyway, the composition itself requires some work, since showing certain parts can work while it won't for other case. I first wanted to have your troubling "crop face" like this, but even so it is hard to have a good amount of exposure due to the ratio of the drawing.
In the end, I simply scaled it down by a lot and based things on a "silk" impression, tweeking the hue here and there. Leading to some sort of "portrait" impression which was my goal, but took me a lot of ridicilous methods. The "crimson desire" worked well, but it lacked something "elegant" that could spice up the mood. Thinking back about Umineko, the golden butterfly idea struck me, leading to the "golden desire".
2009-09-02
- Subject : Rusalka (from Dies Irae (Eroge))
- Status : Request for Skyfall
Spoiler:
Comments : ...and before I knew, more than a year has passed. I can't help but think if I should rather manage my time a bit better. Anyway, because of a certain request, I was trying to do something, but it was just impossible for me for so long.
In the end, after my exams of this year, I tried to pull myself out and thanks to a certain person, I managed to give it a try. They provided me this picture, which is yet another theme that I've rarely explored before. As you can see, the pose itself makes the process a bit hard, because how "vertical" it is, so I had to choose which portion I would use (similar to the Miku signature). But this time, I opted for the crop version, as the full face wasn't any good: you can see a major and obvious "dead pace" on the left and the flow itself goes more on the right side than all over the signature.
Aside of the thick "emanating" aura that was required for the dark and destructive mood, it was a bit awkward without anything else. So even after so long, I wanted to try something new. At first, I wanted a sphere of pure energy, but something "more chaotic" would be better in this case, so I made a "mass" of swirling lightning bolts. It certainly lacks of "impact", but it was intentional as anything brighter or overboard would lead to a drastic unbalance of the signature. In the end, I think I could do something decent after so long... in fact, the major issue for this signature and the next one was my fear that I went worse.
Note: the text is from the original (read: real) dies irae in latin, which means:
" The day of wrath! That day will dissolve the world in ashes".

- Subject : Horo (from Spice and Wolf)
- Status : Request for Daniel E.
Spoiler:
Comments : And this is where everything started for 2010. Dan requested me this signature back in July... 2009. That's right, it is a year old request, and it was awkward for me to fulfill it before. Not only because of my free time being drained to no end, I had difficult time to figure out a good BG for the theme... as I never tried a season signature before so to speak.
Thus, he wanted a "fall scenery" type with his render, and that made me stuck for weeks. And after many IRL issues, it was sidetracked, although I never forgot about this. That said, I believe it is my responsibility to finish a request as soon as I accept it.
In the end, after the Dies Irae signature, I could put myself on the gears. After a long and exhaustive brainstorm, I finally find some way to have an autumn impression, without being obvious (trees everywhere and whatnot). The composition wasn't hard from this point, although I had to remove Horo's tail considering how disruptive it was. Colors were easy to identity in the end, it was a bit more tricky to keep the title as readable, yet keeping a contrast with the BG and the apple.

- Subject : Eustia (from Aiyoku no Eustia (Eroge))
- Status : Currently in Use by skyfall
Spoiler:
Comments : Quite unusual now, but yes here is another signature but before the fated 1-year-gap.
I was recently thinking of a signature about Homura (Madoka Magica), but couldn't really find any picture that tickle either my fancy or inspiration. At that time though, I tried Aiyoku no Eustia trial and it was interesting to say the least. Coincidentally, Skyfall, my "favourite customer" poked me with this CG.
Of course, it was really not something I thought I would able to work on, considering how "vertical" it is and more like of a "crop job" than anything.
That being said, it would be a shame not to try a bit, so I basically wanted to enhance the angelic touch of it, with a radiance that would literally bathe Eustia. The problem of course was not to overdo it, as the wings were potentially going to FLARE in a very bad way.
A lot of hardship indeed, especially our the picky crow was asking left and right, while I realized that the pillar on the initial CG was really distracting and horrible at some point...
In the end, after scrapping the whole deal twice, I could attaint the image I had in mind, although the text itself is sort of missing something even now. Oh well, I'm at least fully satisfied with how the wings look now.
note: yes, the original was 450 pxl long, but I realized afterwards that making it a 500 pxl long sig wouldn't hurt it at all.
