I believe that Cana's attack was worth more then 9999 MP, it's only that it was the max power it could show(You know like in JRPG games  ).
I noticed that there are at least 4 Russian name's Makarov, Ivan, Jura(Юра Russian name, I know because that's my brother's name ) and now Alexei.
