I personally suspect that the reason there have been so many breaks lately is that our Author has written himself into a corner, and can't quite decide what to do about it. The "logical" ending goes about 10 more chapters (20 if he REALLY stretches), and then that's it. But anything that tries for a longer term run will feel so fake I doubt it would last much more than that anyway. I suspect his best chance at this point would be a prolonged flashback showing Rinne with her incarnation of the Dragon God, how that ended up, and then flash forward to get to the ending here. We'll see...
