If it’s indeed a habit of his, then I’m really against it. IMO by dropping the ball during the latest chapters, the author is betraying the fans who are drawn by the artwork of the initial chapters. I mean, many mangakas out there are improving their drawings to give the best to their loyal fans, yet this author thinks that dropping the quality in the last volumes/chapters is acceptable? (of course, that assuming that he’s doing this just for the lulz).
I have seen similar case with a manga called
Q.E.D. The character design in the initial chapters are decent, but then it turns for the worse. The main characters who’re gorgeous in volume 1 became plain and lazily drawn starting from the 20th+ volume or so.
