You want to know what's weird? Conventional practice has it that in circuit diagrams electricity flows from positive to negative, when in fact we know it's the other way around (IE negative electrons are flowing from the negative node to the positive). Practically speaking it makes no difference, but it is quite annoying.
I think that also may have started with some of the earliest electrical pioneers who didn't know better. Still, to this day it is assumed that electricity flows the wrong way.
