Sorry for the double post, but this is a separate issue. We sorta know a bit more about how the Betrayer works, but as I was talking to a friend about the 10th Twilight Bomber, he said, "So why doesn't someone just barge into the dining room and shoot everyone up, since there's no consequences anyways?"
"Like in EP4." We both said.
"And then they went to Kuwadorian immediately afterwards, as if they were escaping the blast radius/geological event."
And of course, who survived in EP4? Krauss. 8)
Spoiler for Longish EP4 stuff:
So the theory was that Kyrie and Krauss may have had some kind of arrangements, along with the servants. Kyrie DOES try to investigate Krauss's study in EP6 after all. 'Pick a room to fake your death,' and while most people pick a room with a bed or sofa to lie down in, Kryie picks the room where she gets to find his secrets. Heh.
But anyways, Krauss may have thought he was 'in charge' and were leading them to Kuwadorian as part of the deal, to survive.
But they needed to get the kids out of the guest house and to safety. George, they wouldn't mind about killing. Krauss wanted to protect Jessica and Kyrie wanted to protect Battler. Whoever was 'Beatrice' of the servants probably wanted to protect Maria. (At least until she is sacrificed.)
Except probably Kyrie betrayed Krauss by shooting him and the servants. Jessica phones Battler and tells him George is dead and how he was wounded. And then she attacks Kyrie, leading to her locking herself up and phoning Battler. But Jessica is also helping the servants/Beatrice faction, so after she kills Kyrie, she continues to carry out the plan alone. She dresses up as suit Beatrice, and asks Battler his test questions in honor of the now-dead Shannon. But he doesn't remember so she is sent away and commits suicide. (She'd have to be pretty morbidly depressed though, which sorta is plausible since the whole family just died.)
Although... if she does shoot herself in the head, the gun is nowhere to be found. Hmm.... so that theory didn't work out in the end. 8)
But anyways, we've all seen how EP4 seems so different; especially when the magic tells us it's 'Kinzo' who appeared, not Beatrice. So maybe unlike EP1-3 where the Betrayer was the most active and Krauss dies early in EP1-2, or in EP3 where he is rather limited in his available actions...
EP4, he takes matters into his own hand and the Betrayer (George?) is limited in his actions. If it is George, then his ally, Hideyoshi is gone, plus he's called out by himself probably to a trap.
