You know, if the set-up was done well, then the writers did their job but they are not the sole people behind the complete story. In fact, I doubt Okada had any more say in this than giving form to what she was told was the desired outcome, so if the presentation was well executed then the people choreographing the story (ie. the writers) have done a good job with what they were given.
If Kawamori says: "I want Apollo to be a dog."
And Mari says: "If you say so, boss."
Who do you blame?
