[Ledgem]

I was talking with TinyRedLeaf about this and he had a very different take on the events in episode 6 that I thought were really interesting. He looked at it from a more realistic point of view:

you have a boy of about nine years who just killed two men and then had a third killed right before his eyes, and he doesn't seem shaken up or remorseful. Even though we knew who Mikasa was and what her captors looked like, Eren did not know what Mikasa looked like at that point, nor could he have known that the men with her were the ones who murdered her parents and kidnapped her.

Looking at it that way, Eren is dangerously judgmental, reckless, and exhibited psychopathic behavior. Granted, the series isn't trying to come off as overly realistic and these events were clearly something to give the audience reason to cheer and feel that justice was served. It's an interesting take on it nonetheless.
