Most of my thoughts are integrated with the individual scenes. It still needs some sheep-wolves analysis.

And these two question are bugging me:
- Is it possible that Beatrice gave Maria the envelope with the key long after the scene where they met? After all, Rosa witnessed magic, right?
- We never see Rosa open the envelope in her posession. Where did it go? Did she read it at the parents' discussion and reseal it, or did it end up in the Parlor in the last scene? Or better yet, did Beatrice meet up with Maria again and hand her another envelope with the key?

By the way, Rosa really strikes me as innocent in this episode.
1) She pukes all over the floor.
2) It was established in red that she always had all five master keys in her posession, except when she handed one to Battler for the moment.

- Most likely, he handed the candy to "Beatrice".

- Then, Genji welcomes her in the lobby. Kyrie notices this guest.

- Her gait was like that of a family member who knew the inside of the mansion well. -Narrator

- Natsuhi finds Kyrie dazed, staring at the portrait. Explains about this fantastical story of Beatrice like it's something stupid.

- Kanon has no regrets.
- "Shannon still had remaining regrets. ...That would probably become a great source of pain and torture for Shannon."
- However, Shannon's regrets are still Kanon's regrets in the end.



- Kyrie and the adults feel that they were given the chance to develop counter-strategies.
- Maria, ...around lunchtime today, we, ...met [Beatrice] outside, right? [...] Did you ever meet Beatrice before that? -Rosa

- She doesn't remember exactly when it started. More than two years ago.
- Maria and Beatrice "sang songs, learned magic, learned how to write magic circles." She proceeds to show off her diary... complete with Beatrice's beautiful handwriting.

- "And even so, I never encountered a witch like that, .....never, ......supposedly..." "Mama? What's wrong?" "My head hurts." I was probably getting a little mixed up with my memories from when I was a young girl. [Oh yeah, she gave me an envelope.] -Rosa

Notes:
- What? I don't get it. When did Shannon give Kanon his only reason to live?
- It's very interesting to follow around Shannon and Kanon. Why? First of all, we know that Kinzo is dead and that the real Beatrice is also dead. Therefore, there is a high level of deception, and you can probably ignore them altogether. However, you can still extract big balls of emotion. You can almost say the same about Genji and Kumasawa. Genji expected Beatrice? Suuuuure. Kumasawa wondered if Beatrice would show up? Heh. Actually, it helps to narrow down the real culprits, doesn't it?
- Did Maria necessarily receive the envelope from Beatrice at this moment? This could be a deception. If so, perhaps she actually received it **after** the chapel incident. Isn't it strange that Maria would forget to obey Beatrice? There's also the part about Rosa remembering that Maria received the envelope. Looks inconsistent... **sigh**
- Also, was the second letter ever opened? When? Come to think of it, she definitely didn't read it at dinner. Could it be possible that it's the letter in the parlor at the end? If so, that would be strange. Why? Because it says the ninth twilight will start very soon.

- Rosa exclaims she met the guest and that it was definitely a witch, she didn't hallucinate.
- Kyrie simply says that she met her and exchanged a few words.

- After a huge scuffle, Nanjo and the kids go to the guesthouse. Gohda follows with a tray of desserts.

- It would be easy to say that Genji and Shannon both had a delicious meal to eat tonight!

- Three gold ingots are inside of the pumpkin on the table.
- Rosa: It's horrible, and yet it's very beautiful! (Oh my.)

- And then the kids are introduced.

- Gohda and Kanon were sent to get Nanjo and to call the police.
- Nanjo: It would be better if everyone went outside. (Nobody listened.)

Red:
- Regardless of whether they were living or dead, the six people definitely entered through this front door.
- Only one key to the chapel exists; it is the only means to unlock the door. When locked, nobody can pass through.
- This morning, Rosa got the key to the chapel from Maria's handbag. It was in the envelope when Beatrice gave it to Maria.
- The letter handed to Maria and the one Rosa opened are the same thing.
- EP4: Starting when Maria's key was received, and until the instant Rosa unsealed it the next day, it passed through no one's hands!!
- EP4: Only Kinzo's study has an auto-lock. No others.
- EP4: The six people were already dead by the time they were discovered! All were killed by other people! All six were genuine victims, and did not take part in a mutual murder! There was no simultaneous murder!!
- EP4: Nobody was hiding in the chapel. A shut-in murder cannot work.
- EP4: When the six were killed in the chapel, the culprit was inside the chapel!

Blue (or equivalent):
- The culprit took the key from Maria's handbag, used it, and returned it by morning.
- [auto-lock theory]
- [Victims locked the door, culprit pretended to be dead.]
- [culprit was hiding]
- The food they were given had small bombs in it, which exploded from inside their stomachs. In other words, the crime is possible through trap X! The details of a bomb that they could swallow without noticing and that could blow open their stomachs is a Devil's Proof! I refuse to explain!!

Notes:
- "Beatrice" most likely has access to the gold. Then it could be true that Kinzo had bestowed the title of "Alchemy Counselor" to an individual, who relentlessly uses the name of "Beatrice".
- Perhaps Maria received the envelope much later than was presented to us.

Beatrice's guest room:

- Jessica, Gohda, and Kanon enter. Jessica is really pissed...
- When Jessica unlocked the honored guest room, she borrowed the key from Kanon.
- Nobody's in the room. But the bed was used, supposedly.
- However, they did find a piece of paper, with a pen sitting nearby.
- Jessica crumpled it in a rage. (Ep2 Letter II) And she triggers an athsma attack.
- Gohda, would you leave this to me? -Kanon (Gohda returns to the chapel.)

Relocate to Jessica's room:

- Jessica drags herself to her own room in the midst of her athsma attack. Kanon follows. Then he gives her the medicine.
- I won't let you alone. So I will sit in the hallway. (Kanon is so unromantic.) And thus the witch appears..........

There are three ways to hurt a woman:
1) A knife.
2) Hurt them in the heart.
3) To betray their hopes! No living being is more of a dreamer than a woman!

Second twilight:

Jessica (stake in back)
Kanon (supposedly stake in heart, killed in the room, corpse is no longer present)

- Location: Jessica's room.
- Magic circle on the door.
- Search reveals that there is nobody hiding in the room.
- Key to Jessica's room on the side table.
- Jessica usually only locks her room when she goes to school just to keep Krauss out of it. -Shannon
- Backstabbings are supposedly performed best when the victim is at ease with the culprit. -Rosa

Proposed Alibis:
- Kumasawa and Gohda would never do anything of the sort. And Jessica probably wouldn't invite Kumasawa or Gohda into her room in her state of mind... probably an adolescent instead.
- Shannon and Genji were taking Master's orders. Rosa accepts it. "This is backed up by what I heard from Father. The two of you were in Father's room the whole time, copying and witnessing for him. Father and I can guarantee that." She revisits the thought again, George defends her, then she lets her off the hook.
- Kanon is Rosa's favorite scapegoat. But Battler remembers Gohda explaining that Kanon gave his master key to Jessica to open the guest room. Upon request, Nanjo finds it on her body.



Red:
- One master key per servant: 5 total. No duplicates.
- Either a master key or Jessica's key is needed to lock the door.
- It's a typical closed room. You know the rules.
- Kanon was killed in this room.
- Only Battler, George, Maria, Rosa, Genji, Gohda, Shannon, Kumasawa, and Nanjo were in the room at the time. Oh yeah, Jessica too. Nobody is hiding.

Blue:
- If the culprit was one of the servants, they could have used a master key. It's not even a closed room!"

Letter:
- Included two master keys.

Notes:
- Nanjo "found" Kanon's master key on Jessica's body
- After the fantastic version of the scene, the clock pulls back about 15-20 minutes.
- Was Rosa sincerely duped about talking to Kinzo, or is this their conspiracy?

- Kumasawa couldn't stand the silence, tries to raise their spirits. Stirs up the crowd at the mention of tea and pumpkin cookies, apologizes.
- Gohda mentions that the guest Beatrice wasn't in her room; it wasn't disturbed much, but Jessica made a mess in there.
- He also explains that Kanon is looking after Jessica.

"I do believe the story goes that Kinzo-san showed the president of Marusoo a mountain of gold, and let him take one bar back with him." -Nanjo
- Supposedly, this same gold bar came into Krauss's posession. And yet, there were three gold bars on the table.

- Rosa returns with Genji and Shannon, and then they all set off together to retrieve Kanon and Jessica.

- They definitely would not mistake any different person for Kanon!
- The only one who can claim Kanon's name is the person is the person himself! A different person cannot claim his name!

Blue (Who was that Kanon?):
- If Kanon-kun's death was proclaimed with the red, there's no way he was alive. Therefore, there is a chance that the one who attacked that group was in a disguise to make the group mistake them for Kanon-kun!
- Kanon's name was inherited, blah blah. (Yeah right.)

Notes:
- Easy. Someone is lying. Doesn't Gohda look like he's under peer pressure, shall we say? That makes Shannon and Genji even more suspicious. If that's the case, I wonder why they kept Gohda alive.

Seventh & Eighth twilights (Part 1):

Nanjo (throat cut by sharp blade, corpse disappears, supposedly the servant's room)
Kumasawa (throat cut by sharp blade, corpse disappears, supposedly the servant's room)

- Room is drenched in blood.
- Shannon and Genji are the first to notice that the bodies are gone.
- It is established that Nanjo still had Kanon's key.
- Rosa shows everyone the letter in the sealed envelope that nobody else noticed.
- Both Nanjo's (Kanon's) and Kumasawa's master keys are also in the envelope.
- Rosa then decides that Nanjo and Kumasawa are the culprits after all, with all of the other servants as accomplices.



- Afterwards, Genji gives up his master key.
- Shannon and Gohda follow suit.
- In other words, all five master keys were gathered in one place. And then Rosa placed them in Maria's handbag.
- Genji: "We will return to the kitchen."

Red:
- All of the servant's room keys are kept in the key box in the center of the servants' room.
- Closed room rules.
- Master key or servant's room key required.
- Only Battler, George, Maria, Rosa, Genji, Gohda, and Shannon are in the room at this time. Nobody is hiding.
- Genji and Gohda make warm comments. Before Shannon can say anything, George decides to tag along.

"....Yes. I will decide... who I'll spend the night with." -George

Notes:
- I agree; you CAN kill a person without a knife! If you had been following Knicknevin's notes about what makes Shannon give up on life episode-by-episode, you would notice he didn't suggest anything for Episode 2. Maybe this is it. She realized that since she really is the most suspicious, she has to make herself a victim. That is, if you're assuming that Shannon is Beatrice. (See the section: "Now then, for a broader view" under the "Shannon = Beatrice" spoiler tab.) But on the other hand, it could possibly mean that she was legitimately murdered as a homicide rather than an assisted suicide. For one thing, why are bloody handprints substituted for a magic circle in Shannon's death room later on?
- Isn't George being a bit selfish tagging along with Shannon like that? At this rate, it'll be the death of him! (literally...)
- With all the blood in the room, it might be safe to assume that at least one of the two are dead, more likely both.
- In any case, those two are not necessarily dead yet.

- Gohda seems to have more things to say about "Kanon" when he isn't around the "sheep". And Shannon is talking about her spider web... and the mirror in the shrine. Probably an illusion.
- Gohda also mentions the mirror in Natsuhi's room, and Genji mentions its spiritual power, or something. Who cares.
- So they decide to break the chapel window in order to rob Natsuhi's corpse of her room key.
- Shannon, get a flashlight! Gohda, get a glass-breaking object! Genji... umbrella us. -George
- Genji sticks around in the kitchen. The rest go to the chapel.
- Before I forget, doesn't Genji have one of two keys to Kinzo's room?
Where's the other? (Maybe that's not useful. I don't know.)

- They discarded their umbrellas in their flight.

Notes:
- I should take special note that the Chapel door is unlockable from the inside. I'm not sure if this is useful information, but we will see.... Or does it violate the red? I should check. If it does violate it, ....hmm.
- I guess it's safe to say that the mansion entrance has been unlocked the entire time, unlike in EP3.

- Before they go, Rosa checks the locks on all the windows in the parlor. (Did she lock the parlor door too?)
- Genji offers Rosa an umbrella, but she refuses in order to maintain her two-handed grip on her gun.

- George's body had Natsuhi's key.
- No magic circle per se, but...

"Hands had been heavily painted with the same red paint that the magic circles from before had been drawn with, ...and had banged on the door, scratched it, dirtied it. ...It was dirtied like the aftermath of a kindergartner playing in the mud. I didn't know what it could mean. ...The bright-red paint that had been slathered on was dripping down, and even though no one said it, it made us think of blood."

- Door was locked. Rosa hands Battler a master key to unlock it. Battler verifies that it's locked. Then he opens it.

"Maybe my heart was completely tired out and dead... Even though I know what I was doing was wrong, ...I lifted her head, and checked. ...And, I made sure that my guess was right on the mark. There was a gaping hole in Shannon-chan's head, and her insides were dripping out. Not only that, ...you could even see, ...inside her."

- They leave. Rosa takes the master key away from Battler and locks the study. She also now has Natsuhi's key.

Red:
- Closed room rules.
- Natsuhi's key was in George's pocket.
- Only five master keys were left, and Rosa was holding all of them.
- After [all] the master keys came into Rosa's control, never did any of them leave her hands! Except for the time when she lent it to Battler to unlock Natsuhi's room.

Blue:
- Rosa oba-san handed a key over to culprit X by some method, assisting in the closed room murder! And after that, she retrieved the key by a similar method!

- The original key is sealed off in the servants' room according to the closed room definition.

- Oops, it looks like I can't use the theory that someone broke the window in the servants' room to access the key box.

Sweet, loving these thoughts. So I'm supposing we could practically solve the truth using Shannon as the culprit? I guess you sort of solved "who dunnit", "how dunnit", but "why dunnit" is still a bit vague.
