Indeed. Also in history, his love for her was completely religious/platonic (because Gilles was a closeted homosexual man then not-so closeted), but Nasuverse changes a few things. Rather than Prelati's seduction being the major catalyst behind his crimes (which made him pretty obsessed with sodomy), it's the hatred he feels after the loss of Jeanne and desire to be punished by God. It's not really completely wrong to assume he was present in Nasuverse when he's a lot more obsessed with her there than he was in history.
