Character Background:
Florentina, called “Flora” by those close to her, which aren’t many, was born and raised in a military family, the Lieze family who had served the TSAB for 5 generations. Because both her father and mother had died in service, she was single-handedly raised by her grandmother, also a former TSAB Admiral, and like those before her, she also desired to work as a TSAB soldier.
She was a kind, mature, adult female, both understanding and strict at the same time. Possessing great leadership capability, and highly respected, she was much idolized, and considered to be the a future great female leader of the TSAB. However, despite family obligations to continue on the Lieze bloodline, she somehow has no interest in ever getting married, claiming to be married to her job, and wears her Boost Device on her ring finger just to ward guys off.
She first met Graham in the ARIA incident, where she, then 25 years olds and still just a Captain helped destroy minor oppositions that came to attack 12 years old Graham following his tiring battle with the 5 cyborgs. Following that incident, Graham decided to leave England, and joined her division.
However, being an orphan and raised in 60s England, Graham was perplexed by Mid-childa’s level of technology, and had trouble adapting to the new lifestyle. Therefore, grandma Lieze and Flora took him in to live with them than in the dorms, until he got settled in. Graham lived there for 3 years without any problem, treating Flora like a sister, and the grandmother like a family he never had…However, when he got himself into an embarrassing situation one night on a drunken stupor with Flora (( whether or not anything happened is up to your imaginations )), he left the next week after apologizing to Flora. He chose to take the Enforcer test, which he passed, but he was also required to go around administrated-worlds for several years to help with technical integration.
He returned back at 18 years old, as a Wing Commander of his own unit, and also to attend the funeral of the Lieze grandmother. He met Flora again, now Admiral. Both of them already matured, they had none of the past issues bother them. Graham’s unit was placed under hers, and they worked together again. However, seeing the new more-adult Graham, Lieze was troubled by her feelings, due to age difference…and her grandmother’s wish for her to marry another friend of hers.
In the progress, Graham discovered possible corruption in one of the Admirals relating to Lost Logia dealings with rogues and mercenaries, and in retaliation, Graham’s unit was ordered to sort out to deal with a group of renegade mages…who outnumber his unit 5 to 1, and on the day of Admiral Lieze’s marriage, no less.
He struggled to hold his fort and unit, but when all hope was almost lost, Admiral Lieze’ flagship came as backup, without official authorization, when she just never showed up for her wedding.
In the final climax, Graham and Flora managed to defeat the enemies, but the ship was too heavily damaged and the dimensional distortion caused mage flight to be impossible, and there was only space for one more person in the escape pod. Graham tried to force Flora in, but she pushed him in, trying to close the door, when Graham’s arm blocked the closure. Smiling, she took out the second ring of her Device, and slided it in Graham’s ring finger, and confesses to him, calling this their marriage vows, and she binded him away from the door. The escape pod shoots off while the Flora died on her ship…as Flora Graham.
Following that event, Graham was praised for superb leadership, capability and benevolence, in limiting casualties to a minimum against a huge enemy force and was triple-promoted to Rear Admiral, Flora’s vacant rank becoming the youngest Admiral in TSAB history then at 19 years old, the record staying strong only to be topped by Chrono in the coming years. His future endeavors later earned him the nickname “Shield of Aegis”…something he felt he did not deserve.
5 years later, he created his familiars, Aria Lieze and Lotte Lieze in remembrance of A.R.I.A, Lotte, and Flora.
Magical Capabilities:
Much like Yuuno, Flora’s talent was not with offensive spells, but rather passive spells like conjunctions of barriers and field based magic. In that respect, she also hardly needs her Boost Device, as she is more than capable of non-device execution of all her spells. However, her primary capability was magic-compression and shaping, that allows her to use her defensive magic in an offensive style. Rather than forming barriers in their respective generic forms, she often utilized different concentrations of magical formed barriers, be in making them smaller, but layered to withstand more powerful precision attacks, manipulating barriers to shapes of diamonds, and shooting them as high-speed projectile weapons that while weak, is accurate, along with manipulation of chain-formation magic, enabling them to be a thin as threads making them harder to perceive and evade or even larger.
Her use of the Boost Device is only solely to boost her magic-compression speed, which is already fast to begin with, to make it almost like her magic was formed just as she cast the magical circle formation. Due to the low consumption rate of her choice of magical spells, she is capable of fighting at full strength on the field for at least 3 hours, and works best as a defensive-counter mage, where she attacks and defends with weak precision attacks and defenses to tire down the enemy.
Emerald Snipe: ~ this high-precision spell works by forming a minimum of 3 Circle Protection spells, reshaped into edged diamond forms and layered as a homing barrier missile to strike the enemies. The more it’s layered, the more attacks it can withstand should the enemy try to strike the barrier shot down.
Emerald-Splasher: ~ low precision single layered version of Emerald Snipe, which focuses on multiple conjunctions of barrier-formed shots and released towards the enemy in a high speed, be it as a focused concentrated shot, or as the original name implies, splashed around towards surrounding enemies. Works better against multiple opponents, due to the splasher’s nature of self-rebounding when hit against the same shot.
String-Bind: ~ a modified version of Chain Bind, which involves size compressions of the chains to the size of threads used to silently and secretly bind the opponents around the limbs to prevent movement and release of magical energy.
Chain Web: ~ a release of magical chains formed in a shape of a spider web, with the caster in the center of it that can range from several meters to several kilometers depending on the caster’s capability. Within the range of the magical chains, the user can know every single movement of external factors by creating a trans-flux of the magical chain with different Linker Core reactions, and therefore allows her to shoot her emerald barriers accurately even without seeing the enemy.
As for other spells…well, she can do what Yuuno can.
I’m lazy. :P
