The end of ep20 hit me much harder than the actual of Mamiina. Her was rather meaningless so it didn't have much of an impact, but the honoring of her by Chor Tempest at the end of the episode was so touching it made me tear up.

I wonder though why they would have left Simouns sitting in the Ruins for all that time for the enemy to potentially get ahold of? It was a sacred site, but NOBODY investigated it at all ever?

It wasn't meaningless. If I remember correctly, Mamiina said that the priestesses that saved her would likely be killed for letting her go. So, she stayed behind and gave herself so that they wouldn't be accused of treason and executed.

I'm pretty sure the V-Simoun weren't there the last time the place was investigated. They just happened to be there when Plumbum was there. This probably because of... well, you'll get into that later, I think.

I do this quite often, actually. The most recent example being Kanon, which I'm currently loving to pieces. From the descriptions and heresay, it sounded like every other bishoujo series ever made. But, people kept insisting that it was good, and they were people who generally know what they're talking about, so I gave it a shot.
I don't really like mecha, but I love Evangelion. I don't really like space opera, but I love Crest of the Stars. I don't really like harem, but I love Love Hina. I don't really like mystery, but I love Higurashi. I don't really like mahou shoujo/shounen, but I love Negima. I don't really like yuri, but I love Simoun.
Maybe I'm just weird.
