Just learned about this manga. There are two things that surprise me about this manga. One, the concept is very similar to something I'm currently trying to write, only adapted to Eastern standards and more romantic. The other thing is how much this manga physically hurts me.
Anyways, my first impressions of this series (hidden, due to the fact that it's mostly a hate rant...sorry):
Spoiler for Impressions:
I hate it. I really do. Not since To-Love-Ru or Suzuka have I found something this annoying. First off, the characters. Good god, are they terrible. I think the only one I like is Onodera, and she's passable at best because she's a typical good girl. Second, the story. In addition to the fact that it's similar to a story I'm planning, the pacing is so fast and the timing is so off that it feels like I'm watching a badly edited slapstick fest. And the romance is handled so terribly. For this kind of romance to work, it has to be either funny, or both characters need to be equal. But my god, Special A had a more balanced main relationship than this. And it was at least funny! I think the only thing that I laughed at was when the main characters casually insulted each other in the one-shot in the first few pages. That's it.
But my main problem? It never shuts up! There's yelling everywhere in this manga, and I could literally hear the yelling while reading all the chapters. Every single chapter is just loud noise everywhere. There's never a moment where this manga just calms down. Even the calming scenes feel loud. I just kept on hoping Goofy (yes, the Goofy from Disney) would show up and inject some humor into this thing whilst justifying the manga's loudness. Plus, Goofy holler for the win.
