Kujoe, girls that go to another world anime will always have the main female cast as a meek person. Even Yoko in junni kokki was a weak person at first. Animes with strong female lead doesn't occur that often nowadays(or maybe I'm just not watching the right shows).

A show I hate and 90% of the people I meet online seem to like is full metal panic. They introduce a serious plot about kidnapping involving underground agencies, followed by 20 episodes of pure comedy at school. To me it seems like they're trying to mix an actual story with a heavy dose of pure nonsense that will never go anywhere. I find the jokes in fmp funny, but the anime overall has no direction of where it should go.

Another one I could think on top of my head is chrno crusade, when I read the first 3 volumes in two sittings I was hooked, but the only group that scanlated it has stopped and no other group picked the series up until recently. I used to a fan of the series, but after the hype within me died down I realize the only reason I ever begin this is because Rosette was cute and she has a great personality. I decided to rethink whether I should watch the anime, or find more scans of the 4th volume and onward, and I choose to stop because I realize that the plot is not really that intriguing. Another factor that made me stop is the introduction of Satella and Azmaria into the story as main cast. Azmaria has been a main character in the series since chapter 2, but up until the end of volume 3 she doesn't really do anything. Satella seems like another Rosette in my opinion, both with a troubled past, and they are very unrestrainted.

I watched Initial D from first to third stage, read the manga up to the 27th volume, then I go "Why did I watch this crap?" Although I'm not a fanboy of sports anime I can still watch animes of that genre and enjoy it. Initial D is just a bunch of races that takes 3 episodes to setup the time and place, and inbetween the races the creator fill it up with dialogues worse than porn movies. I read the manga hoping it would be faster, but it turns out the manga is actually slower than the anime, alot slower. One initial D ep can cover 4 chapters, I've never heard of a manga that goes this slow before.
