I better start add something before everyone becomes gunho on the matter. Fatina did not end with Utu romantically, they are best friends who happen to enjoy climbing. From the beginning it has always been Jil x Kaaya ending anyone thinking otherwise are simply dreamers who've yet to wake up. I will say it again someone will always get shaft in any romance anime unless it becomes harem.
Let me quote Jil:
"Kaaya didn't betrayal me" while love is blinding, Jil always felt strongly about kaaya and never changed his mind throughout the series 10+ point for admiration. Now if others can be open about it they might enjoy the series more. While personal preference is important I find it appalling if peoples base a large extent of their decision on the serie's final pairing to be rather childish.
