i actually think this fast pace is pretty fitting for the story, i mean at least it gives the vibe of a big disaster coming closer to them,
instead of endless chapters where the story is stretched we have compact ones where people are doing their best to be as fast as possible and this shows itself in the pacing,
but to be honest, the whole fight of everyon else was left out and briefly explained, this was sad
PS: at least zebras "thank you" was cool, the "dark version of the shining hero" can also be polite and not look like a looser
