The only thing I can think of is
Silent Möbius. It fits a couple of your points, down to the purple-haired protagonist. There's a film (1991) and a bit later a TV series. It's a mix of cyberpunk setting, but it's mixed with some sort of fantasy-gate stuff (if I remember correctly; I've seen it pretty much when it was new; my first subbed anime [on TV]).
