Despite her failure to secure Makishima, Sybil determines that it is not wise to execute Akane who knows its secret, stating that eventually Sybil System will go public in order to evolve the society and until then, Akane is very important.

The episode ends with a new inspector reporting for duty just like Akane way back in episode 1.

And it seems the episode 22 to be aired next week will contain some scenes not seen in the pre-air episode. My guess? Hint for a sequel or movie?
