You could try alternative spellings like Homeless Girl Remi, but probably you won't find a lot of information about the series anyway.
It isn't licensed for R-1, but it was released in Italy (Japanese with Italian subs) under the title Remy - La Bambina Senza Famiglia. If you happen to be able to read some Italian, you can order the DVDs online (for instance at
www.dvd.it).
I have those Italian DVDs, but they are in a long, long queue waiting to be watched.
