however when you see Dr. Tenma angry at that scene it's clearly NOT because he thinks his research can save a lot of people, for what we know, maybe that director's presentation material can save a lot people too. besides Dr. Tenma does not hold doctor ethics that high as you are implying here. He does indeed work for his personal gains, not just for the benefit of patients. Dr. Tenma is clearly not the stereotypical heroic character that you seems to try to make him look as one, he's just like a doctor in the real world, sure he has his ethics, but he also worries about his everyday life, he's clearly NOT a spotless Hero, but more of a normal human being.

after he sacrificed his career, his good living, his future to save that kid, and always try to comfort himself that he has done the "right thing" when he sees other doctors climbing up over him, it turns out that he has saved a monster.

well as i said before i've only read the manga and haven't seen the episode and no matter how much i reread that chapter again the only thing i see is that his anger and frustration were the result of the selfish acts of the director and his indifference to human life which goes against what he believes in. yes doctor tenma is human that is the beauty of this series he suffers just as any good natured human would at the site of what has happened in the hospital and with the director sometimes he makes mistakes such as the one he did when he operated on the opera singer instead of the turkish man and sometimes he stands up to his believes as he did when he operated on the boy, there is nothing stereotypical about it people go through Struggles between their personal gains and and ethics everyday clearly as it was shown in this episode
