Just a quick question, is the manga finished or still continuing because I haven't read it yet?

The manga series is over, and it's 18 volumes of pure awesome-ness.

As for the other thing...

I remember when I read the manga, the long lasting consequences of Tenma's choice hit me like a kick to the head. Now that's the sign of a quality series.
