Bill Goldberg had a lengthy undefeated streak in pro wrestling to start his career. He actually had 173 consecutive victories to start his pro wrestling career. His undefeated streak lasted over a year, IIRC. People started speculating as to when his streak would finally end several months before it did end.
The
perfect comparison for the Kanade of 2011 would be the New England Patriots of 2007. An undefeated regular season, but they lost in the SuperBowl.
