cruz doesn't appear in these chapters, there is a yamada in needless 1.5, but it's a joke of adam Neuschwanstein (girl version) for naming Cain.
Even if the chapters is written by author, it's not necessarily a continuity of timeline, it can be a special chapter for the fans, same as oda chapters where Luffy meet Sangoku or toriko.

I hope cruz survive and gain a real power.
But, it's sad, the resistance have profited of young cruz injury to hide a microship on his brain (they have manipulated a child in their interest, it's wicked)
