Masakaki said it was the future kimi preserved. It could very well be that the whole epilogue sequence was a dream. Notice that before the epilogue Kimi is on his bed laying down when he is visited by the gawd of the FD. The whole wandering through future Japan is just an extension to the dream he is having. This explains why he doesn't go noticed by anyone. It also explains how the currency has swapped over to USD overnight (which is seemingly impossible). It actually all makes sense if you interpret the crappy epilogue as a dream of future things to come. Terrible epilogue is still terrible though.
