It's an adaptation and Okada has a better track record for adaptations. Exceptions do exist ofc (Black Butler S2) but that was because she was given free reign to write anime original material. It all goes back to whether she can be restrained or not, be it the director or producer (e.g. Anohana) or within the source material itself.

Unless of course, the source material itself involves off the wall fanservice and exaggerated emasculation, but in that case that's more due to the director's interpretation .


As for the PV itself, it's well animated and the visuals are pretty nice for a JC Staff show. However, although it was pretty and reasonably well made, there isn't anything that stuck out as amazing and looked quite generic. The characters also seem quite textbook particularly the main girl (quiet, clueless type) and the main guy (spineless male). I could see this show go two ways - a nice, sweet but somewhat unimpressive romance with comedy, or full-out harem romcom. Not going to be continuing if it is the latter .
