What I got from that was that wasn't the real Battler, since he hadn't seen his family for 6 years, so he might be someone else disguised as Battler. While we should always take the red text with a grain of salt, if we consider that line, maybe that person also has the name Battler (very unlikely, though; even foreigners don't have that kind of name), or Beatrice herself doesn't know it.
Thing is, maybe the red text is what Beatrice thinks is the truth, since truth is a very general subject. For example, there's an accident, and two witnesses have different stories of what happened. Unless there is some proof that one of those stories is wrong, in their minds, they think they're right, when they might be wrong (after thousands of hours of investigation or evidence from some omni-narrator).
Maybe I'm thinking too much...
