Ichiru was never bitten by Shizuka, he drank her blood and became more powerful, but Shizuka refused to bite him. And it was also in the anime.

Spoiler for manga:
"dead" (like how Rido was) and Rido offered his blood to wake Kaname up (like how Kaname brought Rido back to life again). That's why Rido is Kaname's "master", and the reason why Kaname can't kill him. Plus, Haruka (I think that was Yuuki's father's name) gave me the impression during that last flashback that he wished Kaname was truly his son. So this all suggests that Kaname can't be their real son. But this makes me wonder what happened to their other child? And what did Rido do with him/her?
I think the purebloods may be going around killing each other and drinking their victims blood because then they become even more powerful. Also, I get the impression that not all purebloods are equal; some may be more powerful than others and to gain that greater power is to drink the other's blood (like what Kaname did to Shizuka).
And one last thing, since I'm on a roll , since Rido came back the same age that he died, then for some reason Kaname died at a young age? Wait, since Rido was able to possess Shiki than maybe he didn't really die in the same way that Kaname did - that's why when Kaname came back, he reverted back to a child? Or was he a child to begin with? Argh, vampire logic is like time travelling - so twisted.

STOP IT!! It's even hard to read!!
I'm afraid I'll have to re-check the manga... you're mean, you made me be unsure of everything I thought of Kaname... I guess I'll stop here, too much for my little head
PD: Oh and I'll take the one next to the window, nice air currents go well with my death.
