First off have you seen the EAF?? They're about as big a threat to ZAFT as this mosquito on my arm...
Secondly, have you seen eps 23 and 28?? With the AA pwning everyone and screwing ZAFT over...Also in ep 34 don't you hear that old commander telling the young commander that he don't know jack about the legendary AA and their MS FREEDOM...and how they almost single-handedly won the last war (and how they can't just attack them with full strength, but also be smart and wait for the MINERVA)....All things considered (Like Dully's biggest fear of them being the one spoil in his plans), they didn't send enuff troops...They shoulda pulled an Alexander The Great on their a$$ess...So no they didn't overdo it, they actually
underdid it..If they could have sent out Rey and Luna they might have had a chance to shoot the AA down while the Good vs. Evil Gundam duked it out...
