Well, if it makes my theory any tighter, perhaps Fudo didn't let Mikono in on the plan until shortly after Fudo made his first appearance in the show. That would make Mikono/Zessica not getting along well at first more "for real", but I think I read that Sylvia/Apollo didn't get along well at first either, so maybe that's no big deal.
