There are many sad anime out there, but Grave of the Fireflies is one of the few anime, heck, one of the few films altogether, that drives that gut-wrenching feeling right inside. A film everyone should watch.
I also find it amusing that right under the thread "What is the saddest anime", there's a thread called "Am I the only one who gets sad?"
