Of course, there's the 'bundled' version or the hardcopy which includes all the Kai episodes… I don't think that would cause problems, though.
And yeah,
Higurashi spanned the time during which MangaGamer were improving the quality of their translation. By the end of it, the translation is greatly improved, although probably not as good as their more recent titles.
