Kimi Ga is one of my favorite animes of all time. IMO, it's way up there in the "seinen romance" department.
I can see why people disliked it though. The ending was not the usual one that people expected,
even though it was clearly the more realistic and better option.
I watched the alternate OVA ending, and thought it was so incredibly poor and misguide. It's a disgrace to the show overall. It was made to satisfy haters.
