Joy...And I was just about to do a search for a photography thread on these forums, but lo and behold, someone bumps it...Incidental laziness? Maybe I should support Socialism...
Pictures out the ass! All these were taken with my Nikon D40, a $500 camera with $300 of it being happily supplied by Uncle Sam via the economic stimulus checks...
I like this picture...It was just a candid picture of my step-mom's tabby Ariel, and more so, I was just dicking around with my D40, since I hadn't taken any pictures with it yet, mainly because I didn't have anything interesting to take a picture of...Auto-focus,
snap; Nothing moreAuto-focus on the D40 is interesting...It focused on Ariel's face, even though it was off-center...That was kinda cool...Goddamn this technology is amazing...
Another D40 picture of my step-mom's other tabby Serena...Serena had a
completely different expression seconds before I snapped this one off...I just had the camera focused on her with the shutter button held half-way, trying to get her attention, waiting so I could take a picture of her looking at me...Well, that didn't happen, because something else in the room got her attention instead...And then this cat expression was seen through the viewfinder, and this was a better photo that I was expecting to take...
"Hwhah?" is the closest thing I can guess is what was running through her mind, as a human...Cats are funny
My dad and I went to this Veterans Memorial park a couple weeks ago, and they had some decommissioned war stuff there on display...They had an M60A3 TTS Patton battle tank, a UH-1H Huey helicopter, Mark 19 torpedo, and a 3in 50cal naval deck gun...
I love me some Smith & Wesson knives
Kiki at her window
Serena probably wants outside

Messing around with the exposure settings on my D40 from just a couple minutes ago; At first I thought the pictures were blurry because of the stars, but no, that's just how fast things in the sky move in just 30 seconds
