Yup that confidence aizen has is essentially saying that ALL of the espada and arrancar up till now were nothing more than a waste of time because he, gin and tousen, can get by just fine on their own... would it really be asking so much the Aizen actually look a little worried?... Really, when you consider that vice captains can be crushed by spiritual pressure alone the ONLY worthwhile damage the arrancar have managed was knocking out ONE captain... well I guess you could also credit them for managing to distract the 4 stuck in HM

yup... in the end, the vastolorde that we were told that we so powerful that they would be a challenge for even the captains of soul society, were in fact so weak that even as the more powerful Arrancars, they were still beaten by nothing more than shikai... Honestly this is just like the bullshit we got when Rukia told us how powerful Menos grandes were (in which later on we see her effortlessly take out an arrancar in one move)... ya the soul society research team really needs to get their shit together.
