First,
Ayaka is the original proto Rin (big fancy house, daddy issues, tsundere personality, vanity, sister issues, teasing hot Servant, untrustworthy priest acquaintance, etc. Rin had only cut some slack to make her baggage-free to make her less main character-ish and more sane man sidekick, and shoved Shinji and Shirou some of her traits). That's why Rin wants Saber. She was
originally hers.
Secondly, Misaya "dies" before Lancer allies himself with Ayaka. One of the conditions, IIRC, is to help him kill his Master (who has become something like a zombie due to her curse). So I doubt it. They team up together because they lost their respective Master/Servant. Sorry! ;_;
Thirdly, there's higher chances for a m/m scene. The demographics are different.
Anyway, Misaya is a great character, but she was created for this short... She is Rin-ish, because she's a modern Scathach. So she's like Bazett+Rin rolled together.
