Just read chapter 10, i see that the manga followed the prologue novel quite closely... The manga added some parts , but i will not mention for possible spoiler
They also cut some part through, for example in ep 9, in the novel when they were waiting for Chaa to arrive, Yurippe was seen playing, laughing and joking around with Kanade. I guess because that would make the relationship between Yuri and Kanade to be quite close, and therefore contradict with the anime
I really think they should have an alternative universe for the manga (i prefer it more than the anime anyway). One where Hinata being the cool awesome sidekick of Yurippe. And one where the gangs just go and discover the Afterlife universe with helps from Tenshi....
PS: Hinata is actually a really cool guy, not as lame as how his anime version turned out to be
