Looks like it to me.
I would guess that the "equal signs" means "long-time friends".
I would also guess that the red lines mean "rivalry", and the green line means "inspired by". Which would fit parts of the broader narrative, though not necessarily where it all ended off.
Those are just guesses though, I'm certainly not fluent in Japanese.
