Ok, so my mom wants to buy a VHS/DVD player (preferably recorder, unless I can't find any good one). Problem is, I can't seem to find decent reviews about this type of hardware. So, I don't know what I should buy. I came across a particular Sony player but the only review I found was negative, so I decided to wait.

Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions about a DVD player (or recorder) with VHS playback capability, I'd really like to hear it.
