Interesting.
It's already been speculated here and elsewhere there wouldn't be a happy ending to this manga despite the promising beginning.

Will definately be interesting to see where we go from here; although one thing is certain, there's only so much time left for Furuya to stall the degeneration, or work out how to restore the body.
