Because it's the way of the Internets for people to jump to snap conclusions based off of preliminary and superficial data.
As for me, I don't care at all whether there's an once of originality in it, as long as it's enjoyable. I feel like if originality was important to me, I would have stopped being a fan a long time ago.
We'll see what the future holds for this show.
