Another part of the episode that definitely made me smile was Nishihiro's first catch. Nice to see that he's not being neglected even though he can't really play yet.

The scene that truly did it for me was the one that happened outside Mihashi's house though. Abe wondering why he used to think that not changing Mihashi's personality was fine was just greatly done. The BGM helped to make this a truly moving scene (well, at least for me!).

I do think that the episodes which focus on all the Nishiura players are truly the best after all. I hope that meeting many other teams will not deprive us of this kind of development (and if the new characters end up being as interesting as the Nishiura ones, like during the practice match with Mihoshi that made me like Kanou, then it'll be even better).

Spoiler for re: Abe's thoughts and other Nishiura characters:

The show is working out very well for me. There's a good dose of baseball and also lots of distinctiveness in the supporting characters outside of the main 4 characters of Mihashi, Abe, Tajima and Hanai. I do think that they are going to give each of those supporting characters of the Nishiura team time for development at every opportunity they have, whether outside of a game or during a game, without sacrificing its focus on the main characters.

Abe is also starting to realise that they he cannot force Mihashi to change as much as he wants. Mihashi is changing as he slowly comes out from his shell.

After rewatching the preview, I just spotted something that didn't strike me the first times I watched the episode (even though I've seen it many times). Look at how Momo-kan is dressed. That's a big change from the usual clothes. It also looks like she'll be shaking Izumi around...

Well, she is being presentable as the official coach of the team at the drawing of teams for the summer baseball qualifying rounds. It's not something that we would have thought of as Momoe due to how she usually dresses in the earlier episodes. She does dress appropriately for the occasion.
